To present to the viewer a window, through which to see a moment of time.
To see our connections to each other, and to the environment.

I like to translate the beauty of nature through print. Traditionally with steam or ink printing combined with the experimental – such as floating a canvas in the river for pattern. Then I add the personal elements of embroidery, color choice for painting, and silkscreen. Being open to the possibility of print to tell the story of my time on the planet.

I use whatever media strikes me as fulfilling the message of the beauty and fragility of the environment. I have most recently used steam-dyed canvas or paper as well as cyanotype overcoated with encaustic to share the forms and colors of nature. Work by Jasper John, Jennifer Bartlett and Andrew Goldsworthy have been of great interest to me.
